     Rangaa Tex Fully Automatic (R-FASD) and Semi Automatic (R-SASD) Type Star Delta starters are suitable for Three Phase 415 Volts, 50 Hz squirrel cage induction motors.  These starters are provided with Start-Stop buttons and are housed in attractively styled rust and dust proof sheet metal enclosures provided with standard cable entries and two earth screws.

Mechanism:

1. Fully Automatic (R-FASD) - The motor starts in Star when the green button is pressed.  Change over to Delta is automatic by means of an adjustable thermal timer.

2. Semi Automatic (R-SASD) - The motor starts in Star when the green button is pressed.  After allowing sufficient time for the motor to reach its required speed / rpm, the green button must be released.  On releasing, it changes to Delta.

Construction: These starters are having three RC-1A (upto 12.5 HP) & RC-2A contactors (above 15 HP) and one triple pole bimetallic thermal overload relay with timer. The Thermal timer using only automatic model (R-FASD).

Contactor unit: The contactor unit in R-FASD and R-SASD Type is designed for high endurance and easy maintenance.  The no-volt coil provided in the contactor can withstand wide voltage fluctuations and also acts and an under-voltage protection.  These are housed in a bakelite enclosure.

Thermal Overload relay: The Thermal Overload Relay is hand reset type and accurately calibrated.  All the relays are provided with ambient temperature compensation.
