Contactor: The contactor is of double break type having electrolytic Copper contacts. A separate maintaining contact for control circuit is also provided. The No-volt coil can withstand wide voltage fluctuations. The entire contactor is immersed in oil. This increases the life of the contacts.
Overload relay: The overload relay consists of three magnetic coils with plungers and dashpots. The relay is adjustable over a wide range of current. The plunger position can be varied by moving the threaded dashpots up and down. Amps Scales two numbers are fixed in between the dashpots to facilitate easy load current setting. The reading corresponding to the upper edge of the dashpot gives the value of the setting. All the three dashpots have to be maintained in the same level. The Amps Scale is marked in percentage of rated current. It is very important to set the dashpots to the required percentage of rated current of the motor to suite the site conditions.
